“Anyone should be able to fiddle.”
Squish began with two kids, one belief, and a first draft written in red pen.
Amaaya, whom everyone calls Amy, and Sasha adore fiddling. Not simply like: adore, and in their own words, in capital letters.
The big idea
Out of that came an idea. They wanted to put together a company where anyone could buy squishies, especially children with special needs, for whom something soft to squeeze can matter a great deal. The first plan for Squish was written by hand, in red pen.
We believe anyone should be able to fiddle.
What a Squish should be
Their first list was short. A Squish should be strong. It should be long-lasting. It should be fun to collect. And, above all, it should be fun to squish. Every decision since has been measured against it.
From doodle to friend
Every character starts as a sketch, shaped by what children of all kinds say they love. The softness and the slow rise are refined until they feel right in every hand. An accredited laboratory tests every design and batch to EN 71 before it is UKCA marked. And each one is packed with care, in gift-ready paper packaging.
