The slow rise
Press it flat and let go. What happens next takes a few seconds, and that is rather the point.
There is a moment, just after you let go, when nothing seems to happen. Then, slowly, the shape begins to return: a cheek, a foot, a smile, until Marshmallow Cloud is back exactly as it was, ready to be pressed again.
What slow-rise foam is
A Squish is made from slow-rise polyurethane foam, sealed in a soft-touch, water-based coating. Unlike a sponge, which springs straight back, slow-rise foam recovers gently, over a few seconds. It is the same quality that makes the best pillows feel the way they do.

Getting there takes patience. We refine the softness and the speed of the rise until it feels right in every hand, big or small: soft enough to press all the way down, firm enough to come back every time.

Keeping the rise
Slow-rise foam keeps its character best away from heat and direct sunlight. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth rather than soaking it, and let it air-dry. Treated kindly, it will keep rising for years, and every Squish carries a 12-month guarantee.
